Banned from running until further notice

My knee seems to be getting worse. At this point, the pain is almost constant. I have to wear compression knee brace at the end of the day to keep from limping, and I sleep with an ice pack on my knee. Serge decided that desperate times require desperate measures, and starting today I am officially banned from running. I will continue to do strength training, and I can ride a bike, but running is off limits until the inflammation in my knee goes away. I have also been officially put on the anti-inflammatory drug regimen, and I am to maintain the steady level of medication in my system for a week. If that doesn’t make the pain go away, I will be getting an MRI.

As I was driving to work from Serge’s clinic, I tried not to cry. And it seemed like every street corner had a jogger standing there waiting for the light to turn green. Those lucky bastards!
