Sometimes God has a twisted sense of humor

I’m sure every single one of us has had one of those experiences when you just want to raise your eyes to the sky and say “Really, God? Really?!” That’s how I felt today when half way through my morning run I got a sharp stabbing pain in my right glute. You’ve got to be kidding me! I did not just barely get over my knee injury to get piriformis syndrome (again)! [sigh] I’ve got to say – rolling out your glutes with a foam roller HURTS! I dare say it hurts more than rolling out your IT band. Can’t a girl catch a freaking break here?!

  1. Maybe yoga is a better exercise right now? =)

    • You know, someone already told me that maybe this is God’s way of telling me that I need a different hobby. I said that I didn’t think so. It’s just God’s way of making sure that I want this one badly enough 🙂

  2. Hope you feel better.

    • My yoga instructor has recommended self myofascial release using a tennis ball. So, that’s what I’m trying tonight. I also noticed that my quads are super tight, so it’s back to foam roller.
