Tibialis anterior pain

I was pretty excited about my Wednesday night 6 mile run, but I think my legs are less than thrilled with it. My IT band is still pretty tight, and I am also having some issues with my tibialis anterior muscle. It’s a little sore when I walk and is tender to the touch. I haven’t tried running again, but I bet it would cause some rather unpleasant sensations. I blame all the hills on Wednesday. I think they made it more difficult for me to monitor my foot strike. So, I think I’m going to take it easy for the next couple of days: do yoga, stretch a lot, and use the foam roller. Hopefully, the problem goes away by Sunday.

  1. I’ll take part of the blame for your pain from Wednesday night’s run. That route was my idea, and it was pretty hilly, so, sorry about that. Take a few days off, because the Fall training starts next week, and you should be ok. See you out there, soon. =:-)

    • Nah, I’m not going to blame you – I enjoyed that run. Plus, I’m sure that whatever Vishal throws our way during fall training will be much worse 🙂 See you on Sunday!
